Automatic system for analytical control based on AR-31 X-Ray analyzer
Brochure AR-31
Multi-functional, fully automatic analytical complex designated for continuous X-ray flurescent analysis of chemical composition in the flow of solutions, suspensions, and pulps.
- An irreplaceable component of Automated Control System (Analytical Control Automated System) at ferrous and non-ferrous mining and processing facilities, in chemical industry, etc.
- High level express measurement, precision, low measurement limit, wide range of the components being measured, availability of many channels, high reproduction of measurement results. The AV-31N analyzer is the modification of the AR-31 (SRM-13) analyzer, being successfully applied at the Talnakh Concentrator Works within JSC "Norilsk Mining Company"since 1974 (3 pcs). SRM-13 and AR-31 are used at domestic and foreign facilities: Guy Mining and Concentration Works, , Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Integrated Works, JV "Erdenet" (Mongolia).
- Complete automation for sampling, sample delivery, processing and presentation of the analysis results, management of analysis data archive storage per annum, connection with Automated Control System.
- It is reliable for operations trap blowing of samples via the analyzer's measurement cell, sampling, sample delivery and analyzer control are based on GE Fanuc PLCs (series 90-30).
The system includes, w/o sampling and sample delivery devices:
- AR-31N X-ray analyzer (up to 8 pcs) - process analysis, up to 120 points;
- sampling and sample preparation station (256 output signals - 24 V, 0.5 A);
- Operator for an automated workstation (on 2 synchronized computers);
- Analyst for an automated workstation;
- maintenance operator for an automated workstation;
- administrator for an automated workstation;

Automated workstations are based on up-to-date soft-and hardware: Windows NT, VersaPro GE Fanuc, CIMPLICITY, Ethernet. The software implements two main modes of analysis: by link regression equations and standard background method.
The system successfully works at the Talnakh Concentrator Works within JSC "Norilsk Mining Company" and the Uchalimsk Mining and Concentration Works, Republic of Bashkortostan.
